My values around teaching revolve mainly around the foundation of strong relationships and a strong community. Learning depends on these core relationships, and even the educator most skilled in instruction and classroom management will not get far if they have no relationship with their students. Everything I do in the classroom therefore comes back to the idea that a strong community means a strong learning environment.
Through my participation in various organizations focused on equity, I am always considering how to be a more equitable educator to all students. Wherever I work, I will ensure I am knowledgable about my students' unique identities and prepare my classroom to be a safe environment for them and their learning.

I love to eat and to find cool new restaurants in Boston!
My recent favorite is the taiyaki ice cream at Taiyaki NYC (see pic below)!
I also love the new TimeOut Market that opened right near me! I strongly recommend the nori tacos at Gogo Ya, especially if you like sushi.
I'm also a huge fan of musicals, and I know at least one song from probably every musical made in the last few decades.
My favorite musical is, and always will be, Les Miserables.
I love traveling, whether its simply in Boston or around the world!
The coolest place I've ever traveled to was Patagonia in Argentina. As part of a month long Spanish immersion program, we traveled from Buenos Aires to the south of Argentina to climb the Perrito Moreno Glacier. That was truly one of the best parts of my entire life.
